How to avoid suffering the consequences of vicodin withdrawal

Now days its not so uncommon for people in the working class to know of a fellow employee that has a vicodin addiction and need to go to rehab to get through vicodin withdrawal . The thing about this type of an addiction is that you do not have to be a low life street junkie to become addicted to it. That's right there are high profile lawyers, doctors, and CEO'S that have become addicted. If you would like to learn more about this please keep reading.

Some of you may ask how does this happen? Sometimes I think the doctors that prescribe these prescription medications that contain hydrocodone are partially responsible because a lot of folks go to the doctor with one type of injury or another: for example, lets say a person sprains their ankle while playing tennis or running and so they go to the doctor and they are prescribed painkillers that contain this very addicting medicine.

Lets take a look at what the person may have done differently

Now here are some things that the person may have done differently. Keep in mind that I am not a doctor I just help people to try to overcome their drug or alcohol addictions or nip them in the bud before they get started.

First of all before going to the doctor they could have tried taking Motrin or a similar over the counter medication to help ease the pain and if it failed to help then they could have went to the doctor and got something stronger.

Now lets just say that someone else did not try this and went straight to their doctor and were prescribed some type of drug containing this medication like vicodin they could have refused to accept the prescription or they could except and chose to not fill it right away. Anyway hypothetically  they could go home and try some over the counter medications and if they did not help to alleviate the pain then they could then fill there prescription.

My point is to be safe and avoid a possible addiction to this drug they the patient may have gotten along just fine with a regiment of Motrin and Tylenol.

If you do indeed need help to stop using vicodin or any other opiate medication the first thing I would suggest is that you let the prescribing physician know of your desire to no longer use the medication they will be able to safely help you to come off of them without suffering any serious vicodin withdrawal

Good luck
