This is the most insidious drug I have ever come across and believe me I pretty much covered them all. It seems to be especially difficult for females to stop using crack. I am not one hundred percent sure why this is I know once they start using they will often trade sex for a rock. I am not saying that men do not have a hard time getting clean I just see more men at meetings that are clean from smoking crack than women; however there are a lot of women at are meetings and I would encourage any woman to go to a NA meeting and meet some of these females who are clean if you want to learn how to stop smoking crack cocaine.
There are also a wide variety of treatment centers available today for any suffering addict who has the desire to stop crack. I would suggest you get help today crack cocaine addiction is a very dangerous. I can not tell you the number of people who I knew who died from smoking it.
I know that once you quit smoking crack you have to keep very busy because the drug will keep calling for months but it will be less frequent the longer you remain clean.
You are right there are a number of unique things about crack that make it VERY difficult to stop.

Think about what you want and who you want to serve.Crack will posses you and everything you own and I do mean everything.God will not stop you from using crack.God gave us free will.We must choose and want to not offer satan our souls. When we smoke crack we offer our soul to satan.Need help to stop smoking crack ask God for guidance to the right pathway to stop smoking crack. I did. You can too. ReplyDeleteI managed to stop for 7 mo. while i wuz in jail. I thought i beat it becuz it wuz not hard to refuse it wen it wuz offered to me. But once i wuz released i gav myself reasons why i cud and shud play round with it again. Now the cycle has begun again and i c traitz happening like the past. I really dont wanna go there again, i really need some help to quit agin
ReplyDeleteI myself am not using but my boyfriend just confessed that he has been taking Roxy's for the past 6 weeks.....when he first told me I was do mad (cuz he had been lying to me) so I broke up with him....then I realized that won't help him get better.....so I suggested NA or detox or something like that but he wants to just quit by will power and the help of loved ones....but with all that I'm reading I'm scared this may not be enough and he will relapse....so my concerns and questions are....how do I deal with this and him? Should I be like babysitting? Cuz I'm so scared he's gonna go use again do I try to stay with him.....or like talking to him about it....I don't wanna just ignore the problem but I can tell he hates talking about cuz I think it makes him think about it more???? I'm just do new at this and I don't know how to handle this? Any suggestions for a girlfriend of a user???
ReplyDeleteI would suggest that you try to get him to go to a meeting. It will do no good to try and baby sit him as you say. He has to take responsibility for his self and basically do what he wants to do meaning if he wants to use that's what he will do nothing you can do to stop it.
ReplyDeleteI have seen very few people that are able to quit on their own plus will power is next to useless when it comes to fighting a drug addiction and loved ones can only take you so far.
